June 2025: Prioritizing Men’s Health This Summer

Jun 1, 2025 | Journal

As we step into the summer months, June brings more than just sunshine—it’s also Men’s Health Month, a time to raise awareness about preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of diseases among men and boys.

At Urology Associates, we’re committed to supporting men’s health through expert care, education, and proactive screenings. Whether you're dealing with urinary issues, prostate concerns, or simply want to stay ahead of your health, our team is here to help.

🔍 Why Men’s Health Month Matters

Many men delay or avoid doctor visits, especially for urologic concerns. Conditions like benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, and prostate cancer are common but highly treatable—especially when caught early.

🧬 Spotlight on Prostate Health

Prostate cancer remains one of the most common cancers among men. We encourage men over 50—or earlier if you have a family history—to talk to their doctor about PSA screening. Early detection can save lives.

💡 Summer Health Tip

Stay hydrated! Dehydration can increase your risk of kidney stones, especially in the Oklahoma heat. Aim for at least 8–10 glasses of water a day, and limit salty or high-oxalate foods if you’re prone to stones.

Let’s make this summer a season of strength and wellness. Schedule your check-up today and take the first step toward better urologic health.
